Are you accepting new patients?

Dr. Melaragno is currently NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS. However, Jason Mishoe, PMHNP-BC, Mellominds’ psychiatric nurse practitioner who works closely with Dr. Melaragno, is open for new referrals. Note that Jason does not accept all of the insurance plans accepted by Dr. Melaragno (see payment and insurance page for details).

Are appointments virtual or in-person?

Either option is available. Our practice is for at least the first visit to be in-person, except in rare extenuating circumstances. In-person visits will take place at the practice office in Newton Center. For virtual visits, Mellominds has the flexibility to conduct video visits securely over Zoom, Google Meet, or Doximity.

What kind of services and medications is Mellominds unable to offer?

• Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)

• Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy (TMS)

• Ketamine, Esketamine nasal spray (SPRAVATO®)

Does Mellominds treat children and adolescents?

Mellominds only treats patients ages 18 and older.
